Today, my friend Shar, who's on yearbook, asked me to draw a picture of Obama for said yearbook. I'm not the best person she could ask, so I think that I'll have to try extra super hard on that one.
Speaking of friends, I promised my friend Rosa that I'd draw her senior portrait. I started it, but I'm really not liking the way it's turning out. When I was doing the preliminary sketches and laying in the shading, it looked really good, but almost as soon as I started bringing it in, it got looking really cartoonish, which is NOT what I wanted. It's a little irritating because it's a really good picture, but I don't think that a cartoon version will do it justice. I'm trying to decide whether or not to even bother with finishing it. Either way, I'll offer to do another one for her.
That's about all for now, unless anyone has any tips on drawing people with darker complexions, like Obama.

You should delete my old one off your friends list.
